|| When the Fog Lifted, I Remembered Who I Was ||
Kim, I was lost when I decided to finally take CELBAN. Prior to that I took IELTS more than 5x when I was in the Philippines and 2x here in Canada. I was devastated when I didnโt got my desired scores in IELTS. I had hesitations in applying for CELBAN because: first) it donโt know anything about it, second) i donโt know people or institution who conduct reviews and lastly) another months of preparation. Luckily, I saw CelbanPrep thru googleโฆ I joined in the month of FEB and took the CELBAN MAY 3. I passed!
Kim was an excellent teacher. During the speaking, everything she told me works, relax and be confident. While in my writing, she taught me to organize my ideas in less than 20 minutes. Kim, you are an angel (as I always say.) โฆ I also told you that I was worried about my listening because i need to get a perfect 10, with your advice,I got a 10. Reading, is the easiest part of the exam because I love to read. ๐ KIM! I will be forever grateful. FYI, i told my friends who will take CELBAN to register CelbanPrep. LoveLove, MA
๐ Return to Self (Heart)
Dear MA,
Thank you for letting me into the quiet corners of your story: the ones shaped not only by success, but by all the fear, doubt, and exhaustion that came before it. You gave words to the ache of trying again and again. Of feeling lost. Of not knowing where to turn.
And still, you turned toward.
Toward a new path. Toward your voice. Toward the possibility of hope.
There is something sacred in that moment… when the heart, tired and hesitant, says: maybe one more time.
You honored your fear by naming it. You honored your calling by listening to it. You honored yourself by not giving up.
That is the beginning of returning to self.
And that is no small beginning.
๐ Fog to Clarity
You described it perfectly: there was uncertainty, confusion, and too many unknowns.
You didnโt know where to begin… just that you had to.
And from that fog, clarity emerged:
You found structure.
You found a rhythm.
You found your mind returning to order.
One lesson at a time. One breath at a time.
Organizing your thoughts in under 20 minutes wasnโt just a technical skill.
It was a shift in how you trusted yourself to think under pressure.
You reminded us that clarity doesnโt come from cramming more in; it comes from finding whatโs essential, and learning how to shape it, calmly.
You did that.
Not because it was easy.
But because you learned how to learn again.
๐ Rooted in Enoughness
You were working. Studying. Hoping. Grieving the IELTS results. Holding tension in your chest and stomach as you scrolled through resources, wondering what was real and what was just noise.
And still, you showed up.
There is a kind of wisdom that lives in the body of someone who knows what it means to persist.
Not blindly but bodily.
You found grounding through practice. You found steadiness in repetition. You discovered, deep in your nervous system, that safety could be built through preparation.
This was never about perfection.
It was about regulation. About readiness. About remembering that your breath belongs in every room you walk into.
And by the time test day arrived, your body knew:
I can do this. I already have.
๐ Rekindling the Inner Fire
You named me as an angel. But MA, you were the one who flew.
There is something holy in the way you claimed this win…not as something given, but as something co-created.
You made space for the joy of reading. The spark of understanding. The warmth of confidence.
You carried a light that had been flickering, and instead of letting it go out, you cupped your hands around it.
You let it glow again.
That is the kind of spirit that changes not just one life, but many.
You are already doing that: passing on your story, your hope, your truth to others who are just beginning.
They will remember what you said.
They will feel less alone because you spoke.
You lit the fire.
And now, you are passing the torch.
๐ Standing at Zenith
At this point, something deep settles into place.
Not just a test passed. Not just a score received.
But a life moved forward.
A nurse returned to her calling.
A soul that whispered Iโm still here.
You passed CELBAN, yes. But more than that, you passed through a doorway: out of disorientation and into alignment. Out of waiting and into becoming.
You are the convergence now… of discipline and delight, of structure and soul.
You didnโt just find the path.
You became the path for others.
So may you walk forward with that knowing.
Not rushed. Not striving.
But quietly assured that the compass is now inside you.
You are a living proof of what happens when perseverance meets presence.
When practice meets purpose.
Thank you, MA.
For every word.
For every breath.
For every truth you dared to share.
With deep respect,
Kim
Still here. Still with you.
