How are you? I am really happy to read the content of your blog. It inspired me so much to fulfill my goals and dreams here in Canada.
Sometimes, I feel really discouraged. Life here in Canada is very different from the Philippines which I came from. It is very lonely here, especially now that it’s winter. It’s only my fourth month here, but I still don’t have any friends. My relatives here are not the same as my relatives back home. Preparing for the exam is very challenging for me here without the support I usually have back home.
I passed. Can you believe it? After three times failing the IELTS exam, I finally passed my CELBAN exam in the first attempt. I do not know how can I appreciate you. In fact, your great teaching method made my future bright in this country. Nobody knows my feeling now, it is like a flying. Finally my dreams come true with the help of God, your great teaching and my stamina.
My dearest friend.
It was six months ago that I did not have any hope to pursue my job in this country. As I had passed the NCLEX exam before, the only barrier for me to become a registered nurse was the language proficiency exam; however, IELTS totally depleted my energy and I decided to quit my dream. My husband encouraged me to join the CELBANPrep course, but I had no trust to your course. Finally I joined the CELBANPrep course without any hope, I told my husband,” I attend this course because of you, but I know that it is useless!” I feel confident in stating that joining CELBANPrep course was the best gift that I have got in my life. When I was under a huge pressure, and I felt hopeless and helpless in this country, you act like a lighthouse to show me a right way in the stormy sea. You are in my heart and my mind for ever.
It’s nice knowing some people having concern in building up dreams and success of one’s life. Though we don’t know each other physically but still the inner connection is there. so blessed to have you as one of my angel in reaching those dreams. All is well Kim, still overwhelmed with the recent blessings I got from Him and that’s passing the RPN exam, God works really in a very mysterious way.He knows my passion ever since, helping the needy that needs medical attention. However Kim, still can’t do registration because I still have outstanding requirements to comply on which are the language proficiency in English and having Permanent residency.i came to Canada under live in caregiver program and working already for 20 months, patiently waiting for another four more months so I can apply already my open permit along with the permanent residency. Thank you Lord!. By the way Kim, still I didn’t take any English Exam because I’m too afraid I’m might get failed. I know in myself that it’s one of my Waterloo, but, deeply in my heart it’s not yet too late for everything. I’m willing and very much interested to learn whatever it takes along the way. I’m trying to browse every site as much as I can that will surely help me and will not cost me at all and this is it,I found you!!. thank you in advance Kim for spending time with me. May God bless you abundantly!–S
Hello Kim! I’m good, thank you. I am a Filipino and just arrived here in Edmonton three months ago. I need to comply the English Language requirement for my application for NNAS. I haven’t taken any English exams yet since I arrived here and of course, I hope that I would pass with my first attempt. I am really anxious about the passing rates which are higher than IELTS and since this will be my first time taking an English exam.
I just would like to ask if how many months do I need to prepare for CELBAN since my application for NNAS is running. Do you think I can take the exam this year?
Good afternoon Kim, My name is R, I am one of your student in dear kim. I would like to thank you for all your guidance and support in my writing. Though, I felt so bad whenever I check my writing there were lots colours for corrections- but for this corrections I improved and felt confident in doing an incident report. Honestly, I took IELTS exam 3 times, unfortunately I didn’t meet the score that they were requiring me to reach. Then I took Celban, first attempt I failed. Somehow, you gave me a chance to open my account in your website and from that point I practice and practice until I got the confidence to overcome my fear of writing. Luckily, I got a schedule last Sept…,2013 for CELBAN exam … and I pass the exam. Kim, you put a mark in achieving my nursing career here in Canada. Thank you, R
I’m good, thank you. I love Calgary, it’s nice to live here.
I’m from Philippines and I’ve been living in Canada for about 1 year and 3 months now. I took Academic IELTS 3 years ago and my scores was never reached the required scores for nurses. I already took 3x and I even attended IELTS review in the Philippines. As far as I remember my scores are Listening 6-6.5, Writing 6.0, Listening 6.5, Speaking 6-6.5.
The reason that brought me to your site is because I will take my CELBAN writing exam on Thursday. I had my speaking exam last Monday and I knew that I didn’t do great. I struggled for words, keep on saying the same thing, I have long pauses and I got stunned. I’m always having the same problem even before in IELTS. I am too nervous. This is my first try to take CELBAN. I’m crossing my fingers to pass my writing exams at least. I admit that I am not prepared because CELBAN offered me a schedule 2 weeks before the exam, since I am so eager to take CELBAN, I grabbed the offer. I will update you on the results. Thanks Kim. S.
…I arrived in Vancouver last August 2013.I took IELTS November 2013 and got a total band score of only 6.My score are not good ,all my scores are 6 except speaking 6.5. I admit that i was not prepared, lack of time since i got work as care aide right away.
All my friends told me that CELBAN is easy than the ielts. I was inspired reading your website with all the messages from people who has dream like me,to pursue our profession.Truly Kim,I really miss my work as a nurse & it’s depressing sometimes, thinking why I am in this country.
I decided to take CELBAN,with your help, encouragement and advise will surely take me to the first step of my career back.
I am hesitant to purchase any online resources or services. However, I came to a point where I need to do something or else my SRNA application will be expired. I have tried IELTS many times and it reaches the verge of lowering my self-esteem. Now, I am opting to try CELBAN.
I have been receiving email updates from your site. .. I hope you can help me uplift my self worth.
Thanks so much!
Thank you again. You made the right in decision in choosing Dia as one of your coach. And I wanted to say thank you also to her.
I failed in Celban before, but I said I’m going to try again. And when I enrolled in your class, I know I will be learning all that I needed to pass the exam. It was indeed an experience.
I didn’t meet you in person yet, just once during the webinar session but I will say it again, I know you know it already, and a lot of IEN’s have told you this, but you are such a very trust worthy person. Thank you for this kind of review that you have. This is the answer to our search for something that can help us to go to the very first step of attaining our goal in this country. Thank you for understanding our pains and struggles. This is just my first step, but I know I am going there.. It is still a long process but I will never give up.
When CELAS gave me a seat for the exam I grab it and a week before, I go through all your e-mails in my inbox … I don’t know but I needed something where I can get more strength and I ask to HIM to please give it to me this time.
God bless your pure and kind heart Kim. More power to your staff. Please dont get tired but I know your job is not easy and you get tired too. I pray for you,.. More strength and healthy body and more dreams to be fulfilled in your life and your love ones. Kim, every knowledge or information that you share and teach is an enlightenment for me..
