Why is it so hard to get the required score on the CELBAN?

πŸ“±β™₯ Sometimes, I feel really discouraged…without the support I usually have back home

Sometimes I feel Discouraged without the support I have back home. CELBAN. Dear Kim.Dear Kim,
Β
How are you? I am really happy to read the content of your blog. It inspired me so much to fulfill my goals and dreams here in Canada.
Β
Sometimes, I feel really discouraged. Life here in Canada is very different from the Philippines which I came from. Β It is very lonely here, especially now that it’s winter. It’s only my fourth month here, but I still don’t have any friends. My relatives here are not the same as my relatives back home. Preparing for the exam is very challenging for me here without the support I usually have back home.
Β
Thank you so much kim.

Sincerely, V

Keepsake !! After 3x failing the IELTS, I finally passed my CELBAN exam in the first attempt!

Updated 2021

Dear Kim

I passed. Can you believe it? After three times failing the IELTS exam, I finally passed my CELBAN exam in the first attempt. I do not know how can I appreciate you. In fact, your great teaching method made my future bright in this country. Nobody knows my feeling now, it is like a flying. Finally my dreams come true with the help of God, your great teaching and my stamina.

My dearest friend.

It was six months ago that I did not have any hope to pursue my job in this country. As I had passed the NCLEX exam before, the only barrier for me to become a registered nurse was the language proficiency exam; however, IELTS totally depleted my energy and I decided to quit my dream. My husband encouraged me to join the CELBANPrep course, but I had no trust to your course. Finally I joined the CELBANPrep course without any hope, I told my husband,” I attend this course because of you, but I know that it is useless!” I feel confident in stating that joining CELBANPrep course was the best gift that I have got in my life. When I was under a huge pressure, and I felt hopeless and helpless in this country, you act like a lighthouse to show me a right way in the stormy sea. You are in my heart and my mind for ever.

God Bless You
R

Β I just would like to ask if how many months do I need to prepare for CELBAN since my application for NNAS is running. Do you think I can take the exam this year?

♦ I took IELTS exam 3 times. Then I took Celban. I pass the exam. I am now a LPN

Good afternoon Kim, My name is R, I am one of your student in dear kim. I would like to thank you for all your guidance and support in my writing. Though, I felt so bad whenever I check my writing there were lots colours for corrections- but for this corrections I improved and felt confident in doing an incident report. Honestly, I took IELTS exam 3 times, unfortunately I didn’t meet the score that they were requiring me to reach. Then I took Celban, first attempt I failed. Somehow, you gave me a chance to open my account in your website and from that point I practice and practice until I got the confidence to overcome my fear of writing. Luckily, I got a schedule last Sept…,2013 for CELBAN exam … and I pass the exam. Kim, you put a mark in achieving my nursing career here in Canada. Thank you, R

🌎* β™ͺβ™ͺ CELBAN Readiness: how to tell if you are prepared for the CELBAN exam

Updated 2021

Hello Kim,

I’m good, thank you. I love Calgary, it’s nice to live here.

I’m from Philippines and I’ve been living in Canada for about 1 year and 3 months now. I took Academic IELTS 3 years ago and my scores was never reached the required scores for nurses. I already took 3x and I even attended IELTS review in the Philippines. As far as I remember my scores are Listening 6-6.5, Writing 6.0, Listening 6.5, Speaking 6-6.5.

The reason that brought me to your site is because I will take my CELBAN writing exam on Thursday. I had my speaking exam last Monday and I knew that I didn’t do great. I struggled for words, keep on saying the same thing, I have long pauses and I got stunned. I’m always having the same problem even before in IELTS. I am too nervous. This is my first try to take CELBAN. I’m crossing my fingers to pass my writing exams at least. I admit that I am not prepared because CELBAN offered me a schedule 2 weeks before the exam, since I am so eager to take CELBAN, I grabbed the offer. I will update you on the results. Thanks Kim. S.

♦Thank you for understanding our pains and struggles.

Hi Kim,
Thank you again. You made the Β right in decision in choosing Dia as one of your coach. And I wanted to say thank you also to her.
I failed in Celban before, but I said I’m going to try again. And when I enrolled in your class, I know I will be learning all that I needed to pass the exam. It was indeed an experience.
I didn’t meet you in person yet, just once during the webinar session but I will say it again, I know you know it already, and a lot of IEN’s have told you this, but you are such a very trust worthy person. Thank you for this kind of review that you have. This is the answer to our search for something that can help us to go to the very first step of attaining our goal in this country. Thank you for understanding our pains and struggles. This is just my first step, but I know I am going there.. It is still a long process but I will never give up.
When CELAS gave me a seat for the exam I grab it and Β a week before, I go through all your e-mails in my inbox … I don’t know but I needed something where I can get more strength and I ask to HIM to please give it to me this time.
God bless your pure and kind heart Kim. More power to your staff. Please dont get tired but I know your job is not easy and you get tired too. I pray for you,.. More strength and healthy body and more dreams to be fulfilled in your life and your love ones. Kim, every knowledge or information that you share and teach is an enlightenment for me..
Thank you, thank you so much. I will keep in touch with you, by making sure that every IEN’s that I meet they must have to know you and your team.
You take care always and thank you so much Kim.
