Dear Kim

My name is Q , my colleague and l would like to take the CELBAN test. Prior to taking or booking  for the exam we would like to practise and prepare ourselves.

We are registered nurses currently based in London, UK, we are interested in migrating over to Canada next year.We will  be very grateful if  you recommend some preparation resource materials ,also wanted to know which states run preparation workshop for the exams .We would like to take the test … but most centres are fully booked.Which state are you based and do you running any  preparation  classes?

Hi Kim,

Thank you so much. Admittedly, I really had a hard time with this first incident report. It took me more than 20 minutes since I felt blocked mentally. I was away from the hospital set-up for over a year now. But, I tried creating more reports to refresh my memory and the rest sailed smoothly in terms of timing. I’m glad that I am doing fine — thanks to you. =)

Kim, I was lost when I decided to finally take CELBAN. Prior to that I took IELTS more than 5x when I was in the Philippines and 2x here in Canada. I was devastated when I didn’t got my desired scores in IELTS. I had hesitations in applying for CELBAN because: first) it don’t know anything about it, second) i don’t know people or institution who conduct reviews and lastly) another months of preparation. Luckily, I saw CelbanPrep thru google… I joined in the month of FEB and took the CELBAN MAY 3. I passed! Continue reading →

I haven’t taken IELTS or CELBAN before.

Hi Kim!
Im good! Thanks! How are you?  I am working as a live-in caregiver.
I am from the Philippines. I’ve been here for almost a year and 10 months. I haven’t taken IELTS or CELBAN before.
I’ve read some of the letters from your ‘Dear Kim’ and I kinda relate myself to some of them though I haven’t taken any exams yet but being clueless is. And I got excited with how you’re able to helped them passed! 🙂 Im planning to take CELBAN hopefully last quarter of this year that’s why Im really eager to start reviewing. Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you for your persistence in making sure I pass my exam or even get registered with CELBAN. I truly appreciate you.
Kim, I do not want to write any exam and will not get the cut off points, keep writing until frustrated out of it. What can I do to get my points at once is the issue here. Since I entered the country, I have heard of many people’s failure rate and success which is more scaring. Can you be off help here. I’ve never failed an exam and don’t want to fail this.

Honestly I had a tough time with Lesson 4. It took me 10 minutes to finish the task but you were right, EVERYDAY PRACTICE MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
 Now, maximum of 15-16 minutes to make a report.

I’ve already posted a comment on your blog..
Me and my family just arrived last January17, my husband and I are both nurses way back in the Philippines. I’m Hoping you could help me with some of my queries..
1. Where can me and my husband get assessed for our English language?
2. Is it true that before we can get assessed for CARNE we should have taken CELBAN?
3. If it’s true, how can we enroll with your CELBAN PREP and how much will it cost(is there any promotional rates or packages) and what are the review schedules?
4. Is there any expiration date for the CELBAN Exam? How long?
5. Do you have a branch here in Calgary?If you have, where is it located and can I have your contact numbers as well.
