|| The Lighthouse Within ||
Dear Kim
I passed. Can you believe it? After three times failing the IELTS exam, I finally passed my CELBAN exam in the first attempt. I do not know how can I appreciate you. In fact, your great teaching method made my future bright in this country. Nobody knows my feeling now, it is like a flying. Finally my dreams come true with the help of God, your great teaching and my stamina.
My dearest friend.
It was six months ago that I did not have any hope to pursue my job in this country. As I had passed the NCLEX exam before, the only barrier for me to become a registered nurse was the language proficiency exam; however, IELTS totally depleted my energy and I decided to quit my dream. My husband encouraged me to join the CELBANPrep course, but I had no trust to your course. Finally I joined the CELBANPrep course without any hope, I told my husband,โ I attend this course because of you, but I know that it is useless!โ I feel confident in stating that joining CELBANPrep course was the best gift that I have got in my life. When I was under a huge pressure, and I felt hopeless and helpless in this country, you act like a lighthouse to show me a right way in the stormy sea. You are in my heart and my mind for ever.
God Bless You
R
๐ Return to Self
Dear R,
You began in loss. In depletion. In the echoing quiet that comes after a dream collapses: again.
And yet, from that tender place, you wrote to me not with despair… but with flight.
You said, โNobody knows my feeling now, it is like a flying.โ
That is the sound of your heart remembering how to beat in rhythm with hope again.
It is the breath that returns after holding so much.
Your letter is not just a celebration of passing; it is a song of reinhabiting your own heart.
I see you. Not just as a nurse who passed a test, but as a woman who survived disillusionment with grace, and came back into her own light.
๐ Fog to Clarity
There is something remarkable in the way your mind told its truth.
You admitted your doubt: openly.
You even said to your husband, โI know that it is useless.โ
And still… you showed up.
This is not the story of blind optimism.
It is the story of a mind weary from false starts, still willing to walk forward… even while skeptical.
That is wisdom: not the absence of doubt, but the quiet willingness to stay curious, to try again.
And in that trying, you found clarity. Not all at once. But slowly, through structured guidance, repetition, and recognition of your own capability.
The fog lifted; not because someone cleared it for you, but because you kept walking.
๐ Rooted in Enoughness
Six months ago, you were prepared to quit.
Your body likely carried exhaustion in places words donโt reach… shoulders heavy with pressure, jaw tight from holding it all together.
And then, despite the weariness, you prepared again.
You studied again.
You let something new begin.
You didnโt need to be perfect. You didnโt even need to be hopeful.
You simply needed to keep showing up; and, that was enough.
You passed.
But long before the results, you had already returned to your bodyโs rhythm of resilience.
You had already become enough.
๐ Rekindling the Inner Fire
There is something holy in your phrase: โmy dreams come true with the help of God, your great teaching and my stamina.โ
Three sources of fire.
Three sources of faith.
Three reasons to keep going.
You burned through disappointment.
You walked through disbelief.
And you reignited the vision you had tucked away… not by force, but by surrender and sustained effort.
This is what the inner fire knows:
Even when the world says โnoโ again and again, there is a โyesโ inside the soul that cannot be extinguished.
You are living proof of that fire.
๐ Standing at Zenith
And now… here you are.
Not at an ending. Not at a beginning. But at a convergence.
Where failure became wisdom.
Where doubt became discipline.
Where a voice once silenced by scores now sings: โI passed.โ
You stand here not only for yourself; but, as a mirror for every other IEN who wonders if itโs still possible.
You remind them that even when the sea is stormy, even when the light dims, there are lighthouses… and sometimes, we become the light for others once we have seen it ourselves.
Thank you for trusting the process.
Thank you for offering your story.
And thank you for letting me walk beside you in the storm, until your feet found land again.
With reverence and joy,
Kim
Always beside you, wherever the spiral leads.
