I just got off the phone with a wonderful IEN who has been having trouble accessing information for CELBANPrep Listening Complete.  She had:

1. Purchased her Kindle Print Replica from Amazon, and
2. Received her membership on http://www.CELBANPrep.info to access the test and answer booklets.

So I wrote her a message to check-in and see how things were going.

Hello Kim,

To be honest , it was terrible, such waist of money. There was hot any useful information or preparation, only youtobe which was not working , and explanation of people  expiriences how they pass or not exam. Realy, not offence but you take mone for nothing. 

I wrote back asking what had happened, asking for clarification, asking to figure out what I can do to make things better for her and for others that followed her on this path. She wrote a detailed message, with five points!

I am glad that you replayed . To be honest I thought it is a scam due to the fact that I bought listening complete book and CELBAN trap. However, I found that I can not access to YouTube channel and there is not a lot of information. I did not want to offence you , so sorry if I did. I will try to do it again if you will be willing to  supervise me . I hope it will change the situation. Furthermore, I would like to explain why I got frustrated and disappointed. 

• First ~ Doctor’s channel is just for listening , but does not have any questions after listening. As a result, I did not know what I should do.
• Second ~ As I understood  I can get test booklet and answer booklet,  by buying listening or reading complete , which I did . However, still did not how I can have answer booklet There is not information how and how much they cost or its included in listening simple test?
• Third ~ Were I can get e-book?
• Forth ~ In listening study guide all those resources are not available
• Last one ~ For membership CELBAN asked buy some resources, but there is confusion. I already bought listening complete  and trap 4 ways fall. How many times I should buy the same materials to have membership?

I hope you can answer me , and situation will be more clear.

Also, I would really appreciate if you can tell me how much will cost all materials for CELBAN exam. In website it looks like buy one and after i have to buy one again to become  a member and after again.  I have to estimate how much money I need overall, instead of be frustrated and insult you. Since you replied I got a hope that your site is serious and really can help me.

I was touched. There was so much respect and decency in this message, in contrast to a thread that I was experiencing at the same time with Bern. I felt loved. I felt appreciated. I felt respected. I was treated with dignity. This is a person I want to assist. This is a person I want at my bedside when I am in the hospital.

Because the situation was so complex and confusing, I made arrangements to speak with N over the phone. Together we troubleshooted one issue after another. Together we discovered:

• Some of the YouTube channels that existed when I created Listening Complete were no longer active.
• She had to download Adobe Flash Player to access the videos on Nurse TV.
• She didn’t know how to access the test booklets (login to http://www.CELBANPrep.info).
• And there was some kind of loop she was experiencing that was extremely confusing.

What I learned was:

• I need to edit and remove those links.
• I need to add a page ensuring people have Adobe Flash, with a message in particular for the link to Nurse TV.
• I need to create How to Videos to navigate:
  • Kindle,
  • My Website and the test-answer booklets, and
  • how each of the pieces work together.
• I have about 20-40 hours of work ahead of me.

Yup, that is right. One phone call means another week of unpaid work for me. That is on top of my to do list that will keep me busy until December… and even into the new year … all while engaging in other aspects of my life and career.

And so it is. That is how CELBANPrep works. That is how it has always worked. The information I receive from you IENs is what makes the path easier for anyone and everyone walking down this path after you.

How can I improve things if I don’t know what is happening for you?

N was sweet. She told me that it was in receiving a reply from me that she knew I was not fake. Before that she thought it was a game. I smiled. I laughed. She thanked me for what I am doing. I showed her how to write a review.

There are tears in my eyes as I think of her compassion, understanding, and willingness to make things better. There was no entitlement. There was no disdain. There was a mutual understanding. There was grace. Isn’t that what we are all about, us humans living on this planet together?

As healers we don’t have to be in a hospital to heal. We don’t have to be registered with a college to heal. We don’t even have to have a patient to heal. We heal this planet with every action we take, every word we speak, every ounce of joy we spread. We heal with out thoughts. We heal with our words. We heal with our actions.

That is what it is all about.

And yet, it is our choice to build or destroy, to heal or to perpetuate stress and illness, to come together or to divide. At the end of the day which path do you choose?

At the end of this day I am grateful to N who chose to heal with love and kindness, respect and dignity.
