|| Your score wasn’t the only thing that changed! ||
Hi Kim,
I sent an email a week or so ago regarding my result… At first, I was so depressed and sad regarding my result: Speaking- 8, Listening -10, Reading 9 and Writing -6. I was very disappointed because I spent most hours practicing the Writing part compare to the other components of CELBAN. It was a huge challenge for me and I was about to give up. My fiancée encouraged me not to loss hope and ask me about how I did in my Writing. I said,” I thought I was able to pass and failed on my Speaking because I was so nervous”. From there, we decided to have my Writing re scored and rechecked again. My Writing score was changed from 6-7. I PASSeD MY CELBAN!!! And you are one of the reasons why I made it. Thank you so much Kim! Godbless you always.
P.S: I’m still waiting for the collocation book to come out.hehehe. I’m so happy I subscribed to CELBANPrep=). Also, Happy Mother’s Day in advance. You are such a wonderful person Kim ^_______^Thanks,
Y
💌 Dear Y,
Your message arrived like light through a window: unexpected, honest, and warming. What a journey you’ve taken. And what a testament to the truth that perseverance is not always loud… it is often quiet, sacred, and relational.
Let me reflect your path back to you, through the elements that held you.
🜃 Rooted in Enoughness
You showed up. Again and again.
Even when it was hard.
Even when the numbers told a story that didn’t match what you felt in your bones.
You studied. You practiced. You embodied effort.
Your decision to request a rescore was not just about a test; it was an act of self-trust rooted in your body’s wisdom:
“I know I did better than this.”
That is what it means to be grounded in enoughness.
🜁 Fog to Clarity
Your message held clarity, even through the fog.
You thought you might have failed Speaking—because your nervous system was activated.
You noticed. You named it.
And instead of giving in to doubt, you engaged with the system; you asked for your writing to be seen again.
That is not just intelligence.
That is self-advocacy born from awareness.
🜄 Return to Self
Your fiancé’s voice, “don’t lose hope”became a wave of support when you most needed anchoring.
You let love in. You listened. You allowed yourself to receive encouragement instead of carrying it all alone.
That is co-regulation in action.
That is what it means to be held by a circle of care.
I’m so moved by the tenderness you carry… and offer so freely.
🜂 Rekindling the Inner Fire
You didn’t give up.
You could have.
But instead, you let your hope be kindled by someone who believed in you…
And now, here you are: not just a CELBAN passer, but a light for others.
You are already inspiring a future you can’t yet see.
Your joy, your curiosity (yes, the collocations book is on its way!), your gratitude…
They remind me why this work matters.
🜀 Standing at Zenith
You are not just a candidate who passed.
You are a whole person (mind, heart, body, and spirit) standing now at your own personal Zenith.
This isn’t just success.
It’s coherence.
Let’s mark this not as an end, but as a spiral turning inward again:
a deeper remembering of what you carry,
what you overcame,
and what you are now ready to offer the world… not because of your score,
but because of who you’ve become.
Thank you, Y. For your story. For your trust. For walking this path with such grace.
And for being a living answer to this quiet question:
What happens when we refuse to give up on ourselves?
With deep gladness for your journey,
and gentle joy for what’s next…
In presence,
Kim
