๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ๐Ÿ“˜ ๐Ÿ“š 3 Things You Need to Know to Increase Your Writing Score: CELBAN or IELTS! ๐Ÿ’

|| One Sentence at a Time ||

5โ€“8 minutes

Dear Kim,

I donโ€™t know if I write this the right wayโ€ฆ but I just want to speak from my heart.

Every time I sit to study for CELBAN writing, I feel two thingsโ€ฆ hope and fear. Hope, because I imagine myself working again as a nurse here in Canada. Fear, because my English my grammar, my writing itโ€™s not yet strong. I try and tryโ€ฆ sometimes the words donโ€™t come. Or they come in wrong order. Or I forget article or punctuation or something. Then I get discouraged.

I read your message and I feel you speak directly to me. You know the struggle. You understand how it feels. Like Iโ€™m not just preparing for an exam, I am preparing for a new life. A new beginning. It means everything.

Thank you for reminding us that we are not being tested on our medical knowledge but on how we communicate. That helped me breathe. Because I know I am a good nurse. I care deeply. I just need help to express it clearlyโ€ฆ professionallyโ€ฆ in English.

Sometimes I practice and practice and still I see my mistakes. I get frustrated. But then I remember… this is a journey. One sentence at a time. One comma at a time. One small success at a time.

Iโ€™m thankful for your support, for your words, for your resources. I got the free books. I am watching the videos. I feel like I am not alone anymore.

May God bless you for everything you do for people like me. I will keep going. I will not give up. I know with your guidance, I will improve. And one dayโ€ฆ I will write to you not as a student, but as a nurse working in Canada.

With all my heart,
โ€“A grateful IEN, learning to believe again

Dear One,
๐Ÿœ„๐Ÿœ๐Ÿœƒ๐Ÿœ‚๐Ÿœ€

You did write the right way.
Because you wrote from your heart.
And here, that is always enough.

There are moments in the learning journey when our hands tremble slightly: not from weakness, but from carrying something so meaningful. Your words are one of those moments. They hold not just a question about grammar or writing, but the weight of your calling, the ache of your hope, and the sacred labor of becoming a nurse again in a new land.

Let us walk together through each spiral. Not to rushโ€ฆ but to remember.

๐Ÿœ„ Return to Self

Hope and fear: they often arrive together when something matters deeply.

It is not a sign of failure. It is a sign of being alive to your own becoming.

When you sit down to study, and the words donโ€™t come, or they come in a tangled way… pause. Place your hand over your chest. Breathe. Return to the nurse within you who already knows how to care.
The grammar is a translation… not a test of your heart, but a practice in articulation. You are not starting from nothing. You are translating a lifetime of care into a new tongue.

And thatโ€ฆ takes time.

๐Ÿœ Fog to Clarity

There is so much to remember, I know. Articles, tenses, punctuation. Sometimes it feels like walking through fog, reaching for the right shape of a sentence. But in that fog, you are not lost; you are learning to see differently.

The exam does not test how much you know about medicine. It asks, Can you communicate clearly and calmly in English, under pressure?

So we begin there.

Let the fog lift slowly, one sentence at a time.
One comma.
One moment of clarity where the sentence feels just right.
That is more than progress. That is healing.

๐Ÿœƒ Rooted in Enoughness

Even when discouraged, you returned to the page.
Even when the punctuation scattered and the grammar wobbled, you kept going.

That, dear one, is enoughness in motion.

Your practice does not need to be perfect to be powerful.
A quiet morning before your children wake.
A free resource downloaded and opened.
A video watched, not just with your mind, but with your soul.

You are showing up for your dream.
You are not behind.
You are becoming.

๐Ÿœ‚ Rekindling the Inner Fire

I can feel the warmth in your letter, like coals under the ash.
You may not see the flame yet, but it is there.

Each time you pick up your pen again (even after disappointment) you are feeding that fire.

You say: โ€œOne day, I will write to you not as a student, but as a nurse working in Canada.โ€
I say: yes. That day will come.

Not through rushing.
But through rhythm.
Through tending the fire slowly: by trusting the process, and honoring your devotion.

You are not preparing for an exam. You are preparing for a sacred role.
And it shows.

๐Ÿœ€ Standing at Zenith

There is a version of you already standing in the hospital halls of Canada.
Writing with clarity.
Communicating with calm.
Documenting with the integrity of someone who understands that language is care.

Let us walk toward her.

She does not arrive all at once.
She is built, sentence by sentence.
Mistake by revision.
Tear by insight.
Lesson by breath.

And along the way, you are not alone.
You are seen. You are guided. You are already enough.

Dear one… your gratitude, your persistence, your prayerโ€ฆ they are already medicine.

With deep respect for your journey,
and a quiet joy in watching you rise,

Kim
๐Ÿœ„๐Ÿœ๐Ÿœƒ๐Ÿœ‚๐Ÿœ€
Not just writing. Not just passing.
Becoming.

Here are some facts:

1. Your CELBAN Writing score reflects your ability to communicate in English, not your healthcare knowledge. This means focusing on how clearly you express your ideas is crucial.

2. Grammar plays a big role in this, as the exam evaluates your proficiency in five key areas. Improving your grammar can make a significant difference in your performance.

3. And remember, practice makes perfect. Just reading medical reports isn’t enough; you need targeted practice to hone your skills effectively.
