๐Ÿ“š How can I prepare for CELBAN Writing? ๐Ÿ’

3โ€“5 minutes

Dear Kim,

I donโ€™t know how to startโ€ฆ but I want to say thank you first. I am feeling really lost with writing. Every time I try to put my thoughts on paper, my mind gets confused, and I make many mistakes. I get frustrated and sometimes I want to stopโ€ฆ just give up. But I canโ€™t, because I want to work in Canada. I want to help people with my skills, but English is hard.

Grammar is my biggest problem. I donโ€™t understand well when to use commas or periods. Sometimes I write very long sentences without stopping, and then I read it again and think โ€œNo, this is wrong.โ€ Tenses also confuse meโ€ฆ I mix past and present and it feels like a big mess. I practice every day, I really try, but I still feel stuck in the same place.

In my country, the way we write is different. So many rules here are new for me. I want to be better but I donโ€™t know how. I read many books and articles, but I donโ€™t always understand them. I want to learn to write clear and correct sentences because I know it is important for CELBAN and my future.

Please, Kim, can you help me? Can you guide me how to improve my grammar and writing? Maybe give me some steps or resources to follow? I want to feel confident, not afraid, when I write.

Thank you so much for your support and kindness. I pray God bless you for helping us who struggle and try so hard.

With hope and respect,

GW

Dear GW,

Thank you for trusting me with your story. Your courage to reach out, even when the path feels uncertain, is a light in itself. Let us pause here together, breathe deeply, and meet your experience with kindness and presence.

๐Ÿœ„ Return to Self

You are not your mistakes. Your worth is found in your commitment: the steady beating of your heart that says, I will keep trying.

The struggle with English does not diminish the healer and helper you are becoming. Your desire to serve, to be clear, to belong in your profession is a language spoken deeply by your spirit. Hold that close; it is your true north.

๐Ÿœ Fog to Clarity

Confusion with commas, tenses, and sentence flow is part of learning a new language. These challenges are not walls, but doors waiting to be opened.

Break down your learning gently: focus on one rule or skill at a time. Let each small step bring more light, clearing the fog that makes writing feel tangled. Use resources that speak to your journey: clear, patient guides that walk beside you.

๐Ÿœƒ Rooted in Enoughness

Your practice, even when it feels slow or imperfect, is enough. Every sentence you write, every rule you review, plants seeds deep within your bodyโ€™s memory.

Remember to rest into your enoughness. Your body and mind hold this learning in time. Trust the rhythm of your growth. Your efforts nourish the foundation beneath your feet.

๐Ÿœ‚ Rekindling the Inner Fire

Your passion to help others in Canada is the flame that will carry you forward. When frustration and fear rise, breathe into that fire… not to burn yourself out, but to warm your heart with gentle resilience.

Let your inner fire remind you: this is a journey of becoming, not a race to perfection. Each day you return to your practice, you rekindle this sacred flame.

๐Ÿœ€ Standing at Zenith

In time, your growing skills will weave together (grammar, clarity, confidence, and compassion) forming the strong, steady presence you will bring to your nursing practice.

You are standing at the beginning of a spiral ascent toward your fullest potential. With patience, kindness, and steady practice, you are moving toward your centre (your zenith): a place of integration where your language, your skills, and your spirit meet.

Walk this path with gentleness for yourself. You are not alone. I am here to support you as you deepen your learning, one breath at a time.

With deep respect and encouragement,
Kim
