What’s the best thing about being a writer? (πŸ“˜πŸ–‹οΈ)

For a writer like me..

The best thing about writing/creating/designing the ability to make a positive impact on people’s lives: to witness growth and progression; to witness people overcoming and achieving their dreams.

Specifically, as a writer/designer/creator focused on helping Internationally Educated Health Professionals (IEHPs), I can use your writing, graphic design skills, and creativity to provide valuable out-of-the-box resources and support for people who are trying to build a better life in Canada.

My Inspiration

My inspiration comes from the stories of the IEHPs I meet, and by knowing about their struggles and successes, I can create resources that help others in similar situations achieve their dreams.

The ability to use my writing as a tool for positive change can be incredibly fulfilling and rewarding, and it is one of the best things about being a writer for me.

Healing Hands

One of my Cree teachers looked at my hands as we were braiding sweetgrass. She took my hands in hers, and said…

“These are healing hands.”

It was not until I wrote about that moment in time, during my Master in Education (in Adult Education), that I realized she was right: my healing was through my writing. And so it is, today, that I heal healers through my writing: my books published by CELBANPrep Publishing, my blog (Dear Kim), my courses at CELBANPrep University, my forthcoming podcasts “English Langauge Mastery for Health Professionals” and “Juggling Worlds: Navigating the Journey to Licensure and Parenthood as an Internationally Educated Health Professional.”

Knowing that I am part of a bigger plan, God’s plan, Healing His Healers, so they can Heal His children, is profoundly impactful and motivating to me.

Due to recent changes to the licensure process for Internationally Educated Nurses in Canada, I’m shifting my focus from preparing for the CELBAN to career development through the English Language Mastery for Health Professionals program. I’m excited to answer your questions about how ELM can help you achieve your career goals as an IEHP. While I won’t be answering questions specifically about the CELBAN, I’m here to help you explore options, discover resources, conquer challenges, and master the language as a healer. Ask me anything about English Language Mastery and career development in healthcare!
