๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ๐Ÿ“˜๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽฅ Learn the 3 Things You Didn’t Know about CELBAN Writing ๐Ÿ’

|| The Grammar of Grace ||

6โ€“10 minutes

Dear Kim,

I just finish watch your videoโ€ฆ and honestly, I feel emotional.

Before, I thought CELBAN writing is just about using big words or medical terms. I thought I must know everything like difficult vocabulary, complicated grammarโ€ฆ and I felt so small. So behind.

But when you say it’s not about knowledge, but communicationโ€ฆ I felt something release inside. Like maybe I donโ€™t have to be perfect. Just clear. Just real.

I always struggle with grammarโ€ฆ especially verbs and articles. I confuse present and past. I miss small words. Sometimes I write long sentences, and it becomes messy. Then I feel embarrassedโ€ฆ and tired. I delete, I rewrite, I delete again.

But now I understand better. You say focus first on grammarโ€ฆ not everything at once. That help me so much. I want to start today. I want to be strong in my basics. I want to build slowly, but solid. Like a house with good foundation.

Also, I was one of themโ€ฆ I look and look for samples and reports online. I copy, I memorize. But it donโ€™t help. Now I seeโ€ฆ I need practice. I need to understand what Iโ€™m doing not just repeat.

Thank you Kim, for being honest. And kind. For showing us there is a path. That we donโ€™t have to rush, just trust.

You are a blessing for many of us. May God bless your heart, and your hands. I will keep going. Even when I make mistakes. Even when I feel scared. Because you are with us.

With gratitude,
A nurse with a dream and a pen in her hand

Dear Nurse with a Dream and a Pen in Her Hand,
You are not behind.
You are becoming.
And you are not alone.

Let me sit beside you now, not as a teacher, but as a witness
to the moment your heart said, โ€œMaybe I donโ€™t have to be perfect. Just clear. Just real.โ€

Letโ€™s begin again, together, one breath at a time, across the spirals that honor not just your writing, but your wholeness.

๐Ÿœ„ Return to Self

You came to this journey thinking you needed to be bigger than you are.
More fluent. More technical. Moreโ€ฆ something.

But the truth is, this kind of learning begins not in striving, but in softening.

You do not need to prove yourself to this process.
You are already the nurse. The learner. The dreamer. The writer.
Not because you know all the right words, but because you showed up with your own.

This is your return.
Not to grammar. Not to vocabulary.
But to your own quiet voice… the one that says:
I still want this. Even after the struggle. Even after the self-doubt.

That wanting is sacred.

๐Ÿœ Fog to Clarity

The video you watched? (below)
It was never really about grammar or punctuation or vocabulary.

It was about reminding your nervous system that writing is not war; itโ€™s a bridge.
That communication is not about perfection; itโ€™s about connection.

So many carry the false belief that writing means big words and complicated grammar.
But CELBAN doesnโ€™t ask you to impress. It asks you to be clear.

Not knowledge, but kindness.
Not memorization, but meaning.
Not rushing, but rhythm.

Let this settle in like mist lifting from the morning ground:
You are allowed to build slowly. You are allowed to start with the basics.
That is not failure. That is how clarity begins.

๐Ÿœƒ Rooted in Enoughness

Yes, youโ€™ve copied. Youโ€™ve memorized. Youโ€™ve deleted and rewritten and deleted again.
But hear this gently: those were not mistakes.
They were milestones.

Even your confusion (especially your confusion) is a sign that you are engaging deeply.
You are not passive. You are present.
And presence is the real proof of learning.

You do not need to be confident to begin.
You only need to begin as you are.
Messy. Honest. Tired. Brave.

This is the root of enoughness:
You do not earn your place by performing.
You already belong.

๐Ÿœ‚ Rekindling the Inner Fire

There is something fierce and quiet in you.
A flame that has not gone out, no matter how many times youโ€™ve doubted yourself.

You wrote: โ€œI want to be strong in my basics.โ€
Thatโ€™s not a small wish.
Thatโ€™s a declaration.

Like a house with a good foundation.
Like a nurse with solid feet beneath her.
Like a dream that says, I am not giving up on myself.

This fire will carry you.
Through every verb you confuse.
Through every small word you miss.
Through every moment you feel embarrassed but write anyway.

That is courage. And courage is your teacher now.

๐Ÿœ€ Standing at Zenith

Letโ€™s rise together now.

Not in celebration of perfection.
But in reverence for the practice.

You watched the video. You wrote this letter. You named your struggle out loud.

That is a spiral of growth.
That is what standing at your centre looks like: not โ€œIโ€™ve finished learning,โ€ but

โ€œIโ€™m finally learning how to learn in a way that honors my nervous system, my story, and my pace.โ€

And you are not alone in that.
Not now. Not ever.

There are others holding pens beside you.
There are breath pauses built into every lesson.
There are moments of โ€œtry againโ€ that lead to โ€œI did it.โ€
There is a future patient who will understand your words clearly and thank you for them.

So keep going, dear writer.
Even when youโ€™re scared. Even when youโ€™re slow.
Youโ€™re not just writing for a test.
Youโ€™re writing to become.

With a hand on your back and deep respect in my heart,
~ Kim

At CELBANPrep University’s virtual campus we offer more than you can imagine. That is why this 2-minute video is about 3 things you might not know about preparing for CELBAN writing through CPU.
(The transcript follows, if you would rather read this post, or even better, read while listening.

TRANSCRIPT

Number 1.

As an English exam, you are not being evaluated on your knowledge – whether it be medical knowledge or the type of knowledge and vocabulary you need to increase your score on the IELTS.

Instead, you are being evaluated on your ability to communicate – in writing – in a moderately demanding situation.

So, stop worrying about the topic. Instead, focus on your ability to communicate clearly – in English.

Number 2. There are 5 knowledges you are being evaluated on when it comes to CELBAN writing. They are: grammatical, textual, functional, strategic and socio-linguistic.

What does that mean?

  • If you want to increase your score on CELBAN Writing, start with your grammar.
  • If you have mastered nouns and articles verbs and verbals and overcome agreement errors then start with a review of your punctuation and sentence structure.
  • (Both are available in the CELBANPrep Silver Bundle.)

Over the 10 years Kim Kara, founder of CELBANPrep University, prepared I.E.Ns for the CELBAN, she discovered that the first step for her nurses always came down to these skills.

Focusing on your grammar will help you to increase your scores not only in writing but also in speaking and reading as well!

Number 3. Finally, and most importantly, simply reading medical reports, in English, will not help you to increase your score on the CELBAN. It takes time and practice to develop the skills you need to be able to complete the writing task in a timed moderately demanding situation. So, stop looking for writing samples and practice tests.

Instead, get your copy of the CELBAN Preparation Writing Guide that is available internationally through Amazon so that you can start developing the skills mentioned in number 2. And, when you are ready and willing to invest in your future check out Wonderful Writing, which is part of CELBANPrep GOLD.
