Good day!
It is such a great blessing to be able to avail of the free resource materials youโre offering for my CELBAN preparation.
I am recently a holder of a Canadian Immigrant visa. I moved here from the Philippines since Novemberโฆ. It is my earnest desire to settle and practice my nursing profession here. In fact, I havenโt tried living in any other place or country.
I have taken the IELTS with the following scores: Listening 8.5, Reading 8, Speaking 7.5 Writing 6. Based on my experience, I had difficulty enhancing my writing skills. I really do hope that with your help, I will be able to fully prepare and pass the CELBAN exam.
Dear D,
Thank you for writing.
Thank you for beginning… not just a message, but a migration. A movement from uncertainty to intention. From striving to sanctuary.
There is such quiet strength in your words.
Even before we speak of exams or preparation, I want to pause with you in this truth:
You are here.
Youโve arrived… not only in a new country, but in a new threshold of your own becoming.
And already, you are responding with clarity, courage, and care.
Let us walk slowly now – one breath at a time – through this season of choosing and preparing, held gently by the five Essentropic lenses.
๐ Return to Self
Where Heart Remembers Why
You wrote:
โIt is my earnest desire to settle and practice my nursing profession here.โ
Desire is not small. Itโs not simply a wish; itโs a compass. A pulse that speaks from the soul.
You have already made a profound journey, leaving the familiar, choosing a future rooted in service, in care, in healing. This is no accident. It is the deep remembering of who you are.
And even now, as you face the next step (language testing) you carry that same heartbeat: not just to pass, but to prepare. Not just to study, but to serve.
That is what makes this sacred.
Youโre not chasing a score. Youโre answering a calling.
Let that knowing settle.
It will carry you when motivation runs thin.
๐ Fog to Clarity
Where Mind Discerns Gently
Youโve already completed IELTS. Your results are strong: especially in listening, reading, and speaking.
Listening 8.5. Reading 8. Speaking 7.5.
These scores speak of deep comprehension and expressive clarity.
But you also named the challenge: writing.
This is where the fog often settles for IENs. Not because your thinking is unclearโbut because academic writing, especially in IELTS, often demands a voice that is disconnected from your real-life experience.
Topics like urban development or climate policy may not reflect the heart of your nursing life.
You know how to think critically. You know how to organize ideas. But the content feels distant. Impersonal. Foreign.
CELBAN, by contrast, speaks a language you already live.
It asks: Can you write a patient transfer report? Can you describe symptoms accurately? Can you prioritize communication for safety and clarity?
The structure of writing stays the same.
But the context becomes a mirror.
Suddenly, you are not guessing. You are remembering. You are applying what you already know: through your hands, your eyes, your heart.
๐ Rooted in Enoughness
Where Body Knows โI Am Not Behindโ
You said, โI really do hope that with your help, I will be able to fully prepare and pass the CELBAN exam.โ
Let us hold that hope with both reverence and regulation.
Your body has already carried so much: through immigration, transition, and adaptation. And now, as you begin preparing for CELBAN, it is not more pressure you need. It is practice rooted in enoughness.
You are not starting from zero.
You are standing on years of nursing education, clinical experience, language learning, and life wisdom.
Preparation is not about proving your worth. It is about translating your knowing into language Canada can recognize.
Your writing is not broken. It simply needs to become attuned… not louder, just clearer. Not more perfect, just more practiced in the right places.
And that is possible. One page at a time.
๐ Rekindling the Inner Fire
Where Spirit Says โI Still Believeโ
To begin again is no small thing. Especially after already completing IELTS. Especially when your body is tired and your hope is cautious.
But here you are. Not giving up.
Here you are, asking: How can I do this differently?
That is wisdom. That is inner fire.
The CELBAN is not an easier path; it is a more aligned one for nurses. And alignment creates momentum. It makes the work feel less like resistance, and more like rhythm.
You donโt need to burn yourself out again.
You need preparation that regulates, respects, and remembers who you are.
This is why the CELBAN or IELTS User Guide was created: to offer a compass, not just a checklist. A way to reorient before you rush.
Let this be the beginning of studying from strength… not from scarcity.
๐ Standing at Zenith
Where All Parts of You Convergence
D, you have already demonstrated much more than language proficiency.
You have demonstrated humility in asking.
You have demonstrated discernment in choosing.
You have demonstrated devotion to your craft, your calling, and your new country.
The CELBAN will ask you to bring your full self:
Your clarity of thought.
Your heart of care.
Your body of practice.
Your spirit of resilience.
And you are already in motion.
May this next chapter not just be a test… but a return.
To yourself.
To your voice.
To the nurse Canada has been waiting to receive.
With you,
Beside you,
Breath by breath,
~ Kim
