Having taught CELBANPrep for 5 years now there is one question I get asked all the time: “How can I increase my score?” The next part that follows is, “…when I have a limited income”.
Today, as I was marking assignments for CELBANPrep Writing, I did a Google search to find some links and resources, and I found an impressive writing course available for free.
Over the years I have found many links to many resources, but none have been anything like what I found today. What I found is the English Language Centre Study Zone, created by the University of Victoria, in BC. Here is a quote from their site:
About the Study ZoneThe Study Zone is for students of the English Language Centre (ELC) at the University of Victoria. The English-language lessons and practice exercises are created by teachers at the ELC. While the site is designed to support our adult English-language learners, all are welcome to read the lessons and use the exercises.
What makes this site remarkable, is that it is divided into different levels, all without that annoying advertising you usually see.
- Upper Beginner (Level 200)
- Lower Intermediate (Level 330)
- Intermediate (Level 410)
- Upper Intermediate (Level 490)
- Advanced (Level 570)
All levels:
