HI Kim,i am IEN from india ,i have not started preparing yet I need your support please guide from the initial step. you know I am heartbroken with my ielts results three time after coming to Canada.I know with your guidance and encouragement I will able to study hard.waiting eagerly for your response. A.
It has been a while since I have received a message that tugged at my heart strings. Lately I have been getting these e-mails:
- Your courses are to expensive.
- I’m from [place] my scores are [scores]. Please help me.
But it is messages like yours that touch my heart.
I have been reading a book by Brene Brown, that I picked up for myself as a Birthday present a few weeks ago. She is a shame researcher, who did an amazing TED talk on vulnerability. What I love about Brene, is her openness, her honesty, and her willingness to share her anxieties and insecurities.
That is what I have always loved about messages like this, and why my tag on Encouragement is so prolific. It is when IENs share their inner realities that I know my purpose in life and why I am alive. So thank you, for writing to me. More specifically, thank you for writing, “you know I am heartbroken with my ielts results three time after coming to Canada.”
I am heartbroken reading those words! There are tears in my eyes, even now as I write. So many IENs, too many IENs, have become heartbroken and disillusioned. That is why The Disillusioned Dreamer, is one of the 4 profiles of how IENs fall into the CELBAN Trap.
But what touches me even more is your words, “I know with your guidance and encouragement I will able to study hard.waiting eagerly for your response.” How do you know that? How do you know that with my guidance and encouragement you will be able to overcome the depression, disillusionment and disenchantment?
How did I gain your trust as someone you have not even met?
What a great privilege and gift!
The thing is, I know that these words are true, because it has happened again and again as I restore the faith individual IENs have in themselves. For the only way to pass this exam, or any exam, is to have complete and utter confidence in your capacities and competencies. And that is my goal. That is what makes CELBANPrep different. Some people say it is too expensive, but can you really put a value on confidence?
I was being interviewed recently for a position, and the interviewer told me I would be exhausted. My friend told me, “That is what they would be paying you the big bucks for.”
I shook my head. My life energy is precious. There is no amount on earth that would equate the value of my life energy.
Likewise, there is no value that can be placed on something as precious as self-confidence. And that is how I know when an individual IEN is ready to take the exam: when that individual has complete confidence that they will pass. That is when my work is done. Until then, my work is not complete.
So thank you for your confidence in me. I have the same confidence in you; if you are willing to do the work!
Like you, I await, eagerly, for your decision to join the CELBANPrep Family!
